I joined the Air Force and my first duty station is at Eielson AFB. I'm assigned to a Civil Engineering Squadron and I'll be doing surveying, drafting, etc. I have my stuff packed up and I'm driving up to North Pole, just 30 minuets SE of Fairbanks. Alaska looks like a pretty cool adventure, how do you like it? I'm somewhat nervous about the winter season. It'll be quite an adjustment since I've lived in Arizona my whole life.
